Community Plan Recommendation (Fiscal Year 2004/2005):

• Develop harvest plan to remove coniferous fuels in Areas 1, 2 and 3
• Harvest coniferous fuels in Area 1
• Prepare Prescribe burn plans for Hazard reduction burns and old debris piles in Areas 1 and 2
• Work with timber companies on total disposal of all future logging debris accumulation
• Identify water sources for suppression and burnout
• Prepare dozer line for hazard reduction burn in Area 3
• Carry out removal of old debris piles in Areas 1 and 2

Community Plan Recommendation (Short-term <10 yr):

• Early spring Hazard Reduction Burn in Area 3
• Continue harvesting coniferous fuels in Area 1 ,2 and 3
• Thin and prune stands in area 3
• Identify water sources for suppression and burnout

Community Plan Recommendation (Long-term >10 + yr):

• Manage and maintain as deciduous and mixedwood land base

Maintenance:

• Identify linear disturbances for future hazard reduction and vegetation management
• Periodically perform hazard reduction burns in Area 3 an every three to five years or as needed
• Monitor all water sources and barriers to fire spread
