Burnstick Lake WUI Project
Summer Village of Burnstick Lake Wildland Urban Interface Plan
Hazard Map: Available for the area surrounding the summer village.
Plan Completed: July, 2000
Plan Approved: February 1, 2002
Priority: Second priority in Clearwater Wildfire Management Area.
Projects Proposed: Fuel reduction to the north, east and west of the Summer Village.
Plan Recommendations: Fuel Management - areas identified for thinning, pruning and removal of dead and
downed fuels (see above).
|
|
- Standards set for fuel management on privately owned lots within the Summer Village.
- Fuel management was the only discipline that was addressed in the Summer Village of Burnstick Lake Wildland Urban Interface
Plan. This was due to the small area involved, and the nature of government of the Summer Village itself.
