Resource Information Management
Branch (RIMB) distributes select natural resource and ecological based data sets on behalf of Alberta Sustainable Resource
Development (SRD).
The Resource Data Product Catalogue includes select digital geospatial and non-geospatial data sets, and related printed
resource based products that are currently available free of charge, or in some cases for purchase, or where available,
for free (no fee) conditional download.
GeoDiscover Alberta
In addition to this catalogue, many other geospatial data products are offered by other Government of Alberta ministries.
GeoDiscover Alberta offers a discovery service to search for geospatial products.
Resource Product Data Sets
Ordering digital resource products
While many of the resource products found in this catalogue can be ordered from RIMB, other products may be distributed
through other Alberta Government Ministries (such as Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation), or by third party vendors such
as AltaLIS Ltd and you will be directed to the appropriate site for information on how to acquire these products. Please
review the product detail sheets for each digital product before you order.
Provincial Digital Base Map Data
The distribution of Provincial Digital Base Map Data to the public is provided by AltaLIS Ltd., distributing agent for the
Spatial Data Warehouse Ltd. (SDW), on behalf of the Government of Alberta. AltaLIS digital mapping products are categorized
into three groups: Property, Base, and Terrain.

Distribution of printed map products created by Alberta Sustainable Resource Development (SRD) are available to the general
public only through authorized retail map dealers in Alberta.
