Air Photo Distribution Office
The Air Photo Distribution Office makes available all the aerial photographs that
have been taken for the provincial government. The Office has a collection of over
1.5 million aerial photographs covering the entire province of Alberta dating back
to 1949.
Most of these photographs are black and white; however, some areas have been photographed
in colour. Photographs are available in a variety of scales and for various dates.
Most areas of the province have been photographed several times since 1949. The
areas flown each year are driven by the needs of the department based on projects
approved.
The entire province has been photographed at least once over the last 60 years.
